Cooling Shed

This building connected directly to the drying kilns where lumber would be heated and the moisture level decreased. Brought by rail, the wood would then dry in the cooling shed. Built in the 1930s, it was about 25,000 square feet and contained 8x8 and 8x12 posts and beams, 2x11 and 4x11 rafters, and a ton of high grade, straight, vertical grain 2x5 and 2x6 fir and pine T&G.
